Ski holidays in Le Grand-Bornand
From our apartments in the Bouchet valley, 700 m from the ski lifts and 50 m from the free shuttle, here are our favourite ways to enjoy winter in Le Grand-Bornand.
Our favourite runs
- The Dénivel’Maxx: 1,100 m of vertical drop over 3 km, from the top of the Lachat (around 2,000 m) all the way down to the village (900 m), in one go, without taking another lift.
- The Maroly area, for its cool snow on sunny days.
- La Duche and the Col des Annes, for their breathtaking scenery.
- For beginners: the beginner areas at La Joyère, Le Rosay and Le Charmieux.
Cross-country skiing in the Bouchet valley
The Bouchet valley cross-country ski trails start right next to the chalet: perfect for a quiet day out.
After skiing
- In Le Chinaillon: La Crémaillère restaurant and the lively atmosphere of Le Dérapage.
- In the village: the church, the Art Vache cow art trail, the Maison du Patrimoine heritage house and La Source, the restaurants and the cinema.
Big winter events
- The Biathlon World Cup, in December.
- Glisse en Cœur, in March: 24 hours of relay skiing in Le Chinaillon to raise money for charities.
Shuttle, compulsory winter equipment, linen, arrival: all the answers are in our FAQ.
